Patricia Shea successfully passed her Private Pilot checkride on Monday, August 6, at the Boundary County Airport.  Pictured with her is FAA Designated Examiner Rickey Harber of Spokane.  Both were excited about Patty’s accomplishment.

Patty works for Avista in Spokane as a Regional Business Manager and has worked for Avista since 1979.  She has wanted to be a pilot for a long time, especially after she went flying with an aerobatic pilot.  Last year, the time was right for her to begin her flight training.  Her first solo flight was on August 21, 2006.   Through no fault of her own, several delays in training pre-empted the completion of her pilot certificate last year.  But that didn’t stop her.

Now Patty is a Private Pilot and it’s a dream come true.  Surely her first passenger will be her Dad, who has enthusiastically supported her throughout this endeavor.

Congratulations to Patty on her outstanding accomplishment!
