Samter celebrates with backflip
|
DEPARTMENTS |
After successfully passing his Private Pilot checkride on Monday, August 6, Mogley Samter showed his joy by performing a standing back flip on the airport taxiway. Many hours of flight and study culminated in his completion of a three and a half hour oral exam, and a two-hour flight with FAA Designated Examiner Rickey Harber (also pictured). Mogley’s flight training began over a year ago. His first solo (flying the plane by himself and without the instructor) happened on August 3, 2006. Shortly thereafter he bought a home here in Bonners Ferry, and after a couple other unexpected delays through no fault of his own, his training was interrupted for a while. But, as soon as he could, he got right back to flying. Being a private pilot allows Mogley to take his friends and family with him when he flies. Maybe he’ll even do another back flip for his passengers. Congratulations to Mogley on his outstanding accomplishment! |
